Advanced campus solutions

Details

Education is our investment in the future, and young people receive the direction of social development through learning. At the same time, the education system is facing decreasing budgets, shortages of teachers, and malicious destruction of teaching equipment.

Challenging schools need to consider campus planning and construction from the following aspects:

• Provide the best teaching and working environment

The safe operation of the equipment is guaranteed

• Has good anti damage ability

• Protect people's safety in times of crisis and minimize losses

All of the above must be comprehensively considered for optimal economic efficiency and lower building construction and operating costs. It is difficult to achieve these requirements using traditional techniques. Siemens GAMMA instabus KNX has always been concerned about the importance of campus planning for the future and is committed to proposing forward-looking and advanced solutions for the construction of schools.

Campus control system security and economy are the most important

At night, a visualization software remote monitoring software located in another public building can remotely monitor the school and sound an alarm through an automatic phone call function. Implementing such functionality does not require the addition of complex monitoring equipment. In order to meet management needs, there are some special requirements for corridors and escape routes.

The first thing schools need is safety

Safety is the primary standard and guideline of schools. Due to the large number of personnel in the school, the highest responsibility of faculty, staff, and the school is to supervise the personal safety of students.

Based on the GAMMA instabus KNX system, intelligent control can provide a very safe solution to meet these needs and avoid harm to students.

Ensure safety in every area

Use conspicuous escape lights to indicate direction on stairs and escape routes.

Turn on the lights in the hallway when someone is detected, for example, continuously adjust the brightness of the lighting when needed.

The lighting of the external perimeter and pathways can be controlled by light sensing, motion sensors, and timers to ensure that the lights are turned on immediately when needed.

Whether in the classroom or other parts of the campus, a sturdy switch can ensure the safety of the campus. Due to being tightened with screws, it can only be removed with tools.

When a storm comes, the lights on the skylight and roof are turned off, and the sunshade blinds are retracted upwards.

When class is over or at night, the system will automatically switch to safe mode: the sunshade blinds will be retracted, the lights will be turned off, the power will be cut off, the school run factory and laboratory will be selectively closed (such as fully closed except for the refrigerator), the monitoring mode will be activated, and so on.

Visualization software can provide the latest and comprehensive basic information of buildings. Due to its rapid response, damage can be reduced or avoided.

When in use, it can be controlled and observed by on-site supervisors, or by another school or building using telephone call alarm services at night. This network allows us to achieve monitoring without increasing personnel.

No special monitoring equipment is required to prevent the intrusion of unwelcome guests: in monitoring mode, an alarm signal will be generated every time the doors and windows are opened from the outside or the lights are turned on in the monitored room. Sunroofs, windows, and doors that are accidentally left open will be displayed on visualization software.

Heating system failure can trigger an alarm immediately, cut off operation, and minimize or even avoid losses.

GAMMA instabus KNX can also integrate a fire alarm system, where electrical equipment is turned off as soon as it receives a fire alarm signal, and the escape indicator lights are turned on.

No need for complex mathematical calculations: it's time to add a system

We all believe that it is better to spend more money on teaching equipment than on air conditioning systems. The increasing energy consumption expenditure can be solved by innovative and flexible modern technology. Siemens' GAMMA instabus KNX laid the foundation for this:

Accurate temperature control

Air conditioning is the main energy expenditure. G A M M A instabus KNX only fully turns on air conditioning and ventilation equipment when the classroom is in use, thereby reducing energy consumption. The required operating time period can be pre-set based on the usage time of each classroom.

When the window is opened, the heating system lowers the set value to antifreeze mode.

Activate lighting and sunshade louvers as needed

The control of lighting and sunshade louvers should follow the principle of maximizing the use of sunlight without dazzling the eyes. Try to avoid situations where the lights are turned on and the sunshade blinds are closed as much as possible. For this reason, the sunshade louvers need to automatically follow the sunlight to adjust their angle.

Even highly modern sun tracking blinds can be integrated into these controls.

The constant illumination function activates the indoor lighting illumination required, but you can also manually adjust the lighting at any time to meet your needs.

带日光感应的恒照度控 制仅补偿必需的灯光照 度——靠近窗户的地方 补偿得少,靠近内墙的 地方补偿得多。

A comprehensive solution for school applications

The evaluation of the suitability of school solutions should comprehensively consider whether the application of this solution in different areas of the school can meet the requirements. The highly adaptable modular GAMMA instabus KNX can effectively meet all the needs of schools.

Multi functional/tiered classroom

The firmly installed switch panels in the school are used every day and are fixed with screws, so they can only be removed with tools.

More high-end control functions, such as projection screen control, projection switch or sunshade louver control, can be controlled by teachers, staff and supervisors through the central control switch or remote control. Only basic lighting control functions can be operated by students and cleaners. High end devices are not allowed to be turned on or off arbitrarily and will not be damaged, therefore they are protected.

The sunshade louver control with louver adjustment function can maximize the use of sunlight at any time of the day. This way, there is no need to manually adjust the sunshade blinds to achieve the best classroom environment, and teaching will not be interrupted.

The constant illumination control will automatically supplement the required light brightness, and teaching will not be interrupted by turning on or off the lights.

Assembly playground/gymnasium/multipurpose hall

Building control and multimedia control can be combined for control, allowing for simultaneous adjustment of lighting such as blinds, projection screens, projectors, and other audio and video devices with just one button, switching to rest mode, playback mode, performance mode, or conference mode, among others.

In playback mode, we can achieve:

-Sunshade blinds are lowered to the appropriate height according to outdoor lighting

-The projection screen slowly lowers

-Turn off the lights near the curtain

-The brightness of the audience area lighting has been reduced to 10%

-Speaker on

-Projector turned on

Simple stage control can also be achieved using GAMMA instabusKNX.

In the multifunctional partition wall area, the controlled object can automatically adapt to changes in the layout. For example, when the multifunctional partition wall is removed, we can still use the original panel to control the entire area after the change.

Faculty Office

All indoor lighting, shading, and air conditioning systems can be displayed and controlled on the touch screen.

The office can be quickly transformed into an environment suitable for teachers to hold meetings through multimedia control.

Laboratory/Library

• Adopt schedule control, automatically turn on lighting and temperature control equipment (cooling, heating, ventilation) during main working hours; During non working hours, lower or turn off relevant equipment.

Constant control of indoor illumination and temperature during the main working hours.

Constant illuminance control: By using indoor constant illuminance control equipment, natural illuminance is fully utilized while maintaining sufficient indoor illumination, reducing the energy consumption of lighting equipment.

Constant temperature control: Through human body sensing devices, the indoor temperature is automatically adjusted to a comfortable mode when someone is present; When unmanned, the temperature control device automatically adjusts to a lower state or turns off to save energy consumption.

Student/Faculty Canteen

The ventilation system can be conveniently and efficiently controlled by sensors.

The overflow detector will report the leakage and overflow of damaged water pipes in the first time.

Landscape lighting within the park

The lighting in various landscape areas of the campus, street lamps, and wall washing lights on the exterior walls of buildings can be remotely controlled or timed through visual centralized control software.

Adopting schedule control to achieve control suitable for different scenarios such as weekends, holidays, and celebration days.

Class bell control • The class bell always rings at the correct time.

Automatically switch between daylight saving time and winter time through GAMMA instabus KNX.

The GAMMA instabus KNX touch screen can easily solve the problem of resetting the working time of the class bell
